Have you ever wanted to know more of what the Bible says about salvation? These six studies are deceptively short, simple, and clear. Each one can be read quickly, but if you really delve into them – checking the Scriptures, working through the Bible studies, thinking through the reflection questions – you will find a rich study resource.
The Bible Themes resource at the end is a useful alphabetical listing of key Bible themes that gives practical and teaching help along with Scripture references. The “see also” cross references are linked within the section.
You can use this ebook for personal Bible study or for group study.
Although we humans are universally guilty, confused, and separated from God – both because of the fall of Adam as well as because of our own personal sinful nature – God has lovingly sought to reconcile us to himself. We need a new direction and a new nature. Some people respond to God’s love; others become so used to living in separation from God that their conscience becomes dead. When we repent and abandon our old way of life, God forgives us and empowers us through the Holy Spirit. We are then accepted by God in Christ, and made a new person.
Once we experience God’s salvation, God wants us to become more like him in our thoughts and actions. This process of becoming more holy – called sanctification – is a lifelong one.
