    Cognitive behavioral therapy is based on the concept that our thoughts, perceptions, and emotions all have a strong influence on our behavior. How we think about a specific situation in our life can directly influence how we deal with it. CBT follows the premise that our thoughts and feelings play a fundamental role in determining our behavior, and that over time, we tend to develop specific patterns of thinking and feeling.
