Objectives are not what you wish to say; they are what you wish to achieve by saying something.

Thus such a presentation might logically comprise of five points:
• Some background to the change
• An explanation of why it is necessary (perhaps in terms of the good things it will achieve)
• Exactly what the change is and how it will work
• The effect on the individual
• What action needs to be taken and by when
To lead you to such an approach, objectives should always be, as a much quoted acronym has it, SMART. That is they should be:
• Specific
• Measurable
• Achievable
• Realistic
• Timed
