Whiti Hereaka is a novelist and playwright. She is the author of The Graphologist's Apprentice which was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers Award (Asia/Pacific) in 2011.Her second novel Bugs will be published in September 2013.In 2012, Whiti was awarded the Bruce Mason award for emerging playwrights and in 2013 she will be participating in the International Writers Program in Iowa
