Katsuki is 5 when everything starts to turn sour. He had gotten into a fight with another kid, it wasn’t his fault. The kid had pushed him down. And he got back up. He got back up because if he was going to be the number one hero he had to get back up. His mother is called into the school. She looks at him.. wrong

She sours too.

The Bakugos had never been affectionate, Katsuki knows this and doesn’t mind it. It’s normal after all.

At first he cowers, he stays silent, obedient. If he stays quiet and nice than surely his mother will be proud. Surely his father will pay attention to him. He’s wrong.

He’s 5 and at the park. The other kids that follow him around had left after he told them to. Izuku. Izuku hadn’t. No matter what Katsuki says he doesn’t leave. He hates it. It’s suffocating and he needs to be alone. So he lashes out. He shoves Izuku

Hero? What kind of hero gets scared from a little smack? Pathetic

Maybe if he’s a hero, maybe when he’s not pathetic, the feeling will leave
