"Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you...Only do what your heart tells you. I don't go by the rule book... I lead from the heart, not the head." PRINCESS DIANA, Diana, Princess of Wales, was born July 1, 1961 and was perhaps the most beloved of the British royal family. Diana grew up in Park House, situated on the Sandringham estate, and was educated in England and Switzerland. Diana came to prominence in February 1981 upon her engagement to Prince Charles. The marriage produced two sons, princes William and Harry, who were then respectively second and third in the line of succession to the British throne. Diana was involved with dozens of charities and also raised awareness and advocated ways to help people affected with HIV/AIDS. As we all know Princess Diana died in a horrific car crash in a Paris tunnel on August 31, 1997. She left us that day - but never left our hearts and memory. This is her story in her own words.
